As a partner at MERJE, John Bosio serves as the Principal In Charge for many of the firm’s large and complex projects. He leads clients to successful solutions by providing expertise in branding, signage & wayfinding, graphic design, and project strategy.
John studied at the University of the Arts and over the course of his 25+ year career, John has helped establish MERJE as an industry expert in Community Wayfinding. He has also developed environmental graphic design projects for trails, transit, healthcare, corporate and educational institutions. His projects have included wayfinding programs for Downtown Dallas, Downtown Phoenix, City of Miami Beach and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, Canada.
Currently he is working with Huntington Beach, CA, Los Alamos, NM and the St. Louis METRO.
John speaks regularly to professional and community groups about environmental graphic design issues. His speaking engagements have included the American Planning Association, American Institute of Architects and a variety of Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD)-sponsored workshops. He serves as the Philadelphia Chapter Chair for the SEGD and previously was an adjunct faculty member of the Graphic Design Department at Drexel University.
John has been a guest faculty member at his alma mater the University of the Arts where he conducted the week long Junior Workshop and spoke at the AIGA Philadelphia Chapter – EXPOSED Lecture Series.
