The City of Frederick offers visitors a variety of arts, culture, hisorical and entertainment experiences, all set in a colonial and civil war era setting. Working with the Downtown Frederick Partnership, MERJE developed a series of 10 interpretive panels that tell the story of Frederick, reinforce its character and promote its culture. The panels include information about the Great Frederick Flood, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and the beautiful architecture and famous citizens of Frederick, including Francis Scott Key. Placed throughout the town, along Carroll Creek and at the Visitor Center, the interpretive panels allow visitors to discover the little jewels and stories that shaped this unique historic community.
