wayfinding master plan

The wine industry has made the Walla Walla Valley a destination for foodies and wine connoisseurs, but beyond the lush acres of vineyards and numerous tasting rooms are art galleries, golf courses, historical sites, parks and ski lodges, as well shopping and dining for every palate.

Merje is developing a Master Plan that includes a consistent and unified wayfinding system for the five municipalities in the Valley as well as a system that integrates signage for regional wineries. A detailed analysis of the valley’s current wayfinding, recommendations for improvements and a portfolio of appropriate and affordable sign types are part of the plan.

Wayfinding tools to be considered include orientation maps, technology (on-line, interactive, hand-held devices, etc.) print support materials, and physical landmarks.
